With their rough surface, our bar magnets pay homage to the legendary pickups of the 1950s. Alnico 5 magnets are often used in humbuckers and P-90 pickups and are known for their clear, balanced and powerful sound. They produce a warm, rich tone with good assertiveness and excellent string separation. The sound has a strong focus on the mids and highs, while the bass remains relatively tight and controlled. Alnico 5 magnets are particularly good for rock and metal guitar sounds as they can produce high distortion and sustain. They also offer good dynamics and response, making them a popular choice with many guitarists.
